An untitled scrapbook signed on the cover by D.W. Kilbourne containing extracts from 2 reports of the register of the State Land Office (1865 and 1869) with sections relating to the Des Moines Navigation and Railroad Company; an extract from the report of the treasurer of the state of Iowa for the years 1868/1869 related to the Des Moines River improvement fund; a map (62 x 104 cm. folded to 22 x 12 cm.) showing lands in the possession of the Des Moines Valley Railroad Company in 1870 and those to be conveyed; a holograph schedule of the rolling stock of the Des Moines Valley Railroad signed by Milo Smith, dated February 23, 1870; a holograph letter dated February 25, 1870 and signed by a Des Moines Valley Railroad engineer J.W. Otley certifying that the company is running 235 miles of railroad from Keokuk to Fort Dodge; and a certificate from the the Britannic Majesty's Consulate in New York (1870).
